The Consortium Districts established stakeholder committees to guide implementation and partnered with New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education (NYSCATE) to deliver a comprehensive professional learning plan, including Summer Institutes and ongoing support for participating teachers. Key activities include administering teacher surveys to assess readiness, recruiting cross-district teacher cohorts, and supporting participation in Summer Institutes aligned to the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency standards. District leaders also support teachers in integrating technology into instruction and developing a culminating portfolio. Investments in instructional technology resources - such as robotics kits, zSpace devices, and interactive whiteboards - along with training, further strengthen implementation. Collectively, these efforts position the Consortium Districts for deeper implementation in Year 3 and beyond.
Represented below are students across the consortium actively engaging in hands-on, technology-rich learning experiences – using tools such as laser cutters, 3D printers, digital media equipment, and virtual reality – to build skills in design, creativity, and real-world problem solving.
