The New York State Education Department (NYSED) anticipates a January release of their Liberty Partnerships Program.  This grant offers funding for collaborations between degree-granting institutions and secondary schools to improve drop-out rates for at-risk youth in grades K-12 by preparing students for college or careers. New York State Institutes of Higher Education (IHE) are eligible to apply with a partner school. Partnerships may include additional schools, colleges, or community organizations. The minimum award for previous program years was $200,000 for projects serving at least 160 students for a 5-year period. For additional information, please see the previous program RFP: http://www.highered.nysed.gov/kiap/precoll/lpp/documents/Final_LPP_RFP_updated6-11-12.pdf BRI can help you get a head start on your proposal now, and we will update our blog when the 2017 RFP is released.
