Institute of Museum and Library Services Grants For Small and Rural Libraries

Grant Opportunity: The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) is currently seeking proposals for their Accelerating Promising Practices for Small Libraries (APP) grant program. This program funds projects that aim to strengthen the ability of small and rural libraries and archives to serve their communities.

Applicants can submit proposals in the following categories.

Eligibility: Applicant organizations must be a nonprofit library, library consortium, parent organization (i.e. a school district or academic institution), or unit of State or local government located in the United States or U.S. territories.

Transforming School Library Practice proposals are limited to school districts or administrative units applying on behalf of eligible school libraries.

Grant Amount: Awards through the APP Program range between $10,000 and $50,000

Grant Period: The grant period for APP grants is two years.
