Grant Opportunity:  The National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) and US Forest Service (USFS) are offering Health and the Natural Environment Grants for health promotion projects that also restore and protect local public lands. Projects should engage the community in meaningful conservation and stewardship. Projects should also partner with a health professional to provide education on the mental and physical health benefits of outdoor activities.

Eligibility: Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization with connection to a Forest Service agency and located in the United States or U.S. territories. Federal, state, and local Forest Agencies are eligible to apply.

Grant Amount: Applicant organizations may request up to $4,000.

Grant Period: The grant period will be from April to June 2019.
