P-TECH Grants Available

Grant Opportunity: The New York State Pathways in Technology Early College High School (NYS P-TECH) Program will prepare New York students for high-skills jobs of the future in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics, manufacturing, and finance.  The model incorporates an integrated six-year program that combines high school, college, and career training and will be targeted to academically and economically at-risk students. These students have been traditionally underserved in postsecondary settings, and this program will result in a 2 year degree for the students along with helping to build the local talent pipeline to the workplace.

Eligibility: A New York State public school district or a BOCES must serve as the fiscal agent/applicant and is eligible to apply for this opportunity on behalf of a partnership, which must include a K-12 partner, a Higher Education partner and a Business/Employer. Additional partners may be included based on the needs identified in the geographic region being served. 

Grant Amount: Up to a total of eight (8) awards will be made to eligible partnerships statewide. Awards start at $500,000 with a bonus of $100,000 for partnering with an in-demand industry partner (as defined by the NYS Department of Labor).
