Grant Opportunity: The New York State Education Department's Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) provides funding for projects that increase the number of students from under-represented groups who are pursuing professional licensure and careers in mathematics, science, technology and health-related fields.
Projects should include academic enrichment and research experience components that occur during the academic year and the summer.
Some examples of CSTEP projects include:
- Supervised training in research methods
- Graduate/professional school admissions preparation
- Standardized tests preparation
- Academic and career development activities
Eligibility: New York State degree-granting postsecondary or professional schools are eligible to apply.
Grant Amount: The maximum award for an individual CSTEP project will be $450,000 per year. The maximum award for newly funded individual CSTEP projects will be $300,000. The maximum award for a consortium CSTEP project will be $1,000,000 per year.
Grant Period: The grant period for this grant is five years with projects occurring between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2025.
