Funding Available for Sports and Recreation Projects in Western New York and the Finger Lakes

Grant Opportunity: The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Legacy Fund for Youth Sports provides funds for projects that increase access to quality sports and recreation experiences to children in Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties. The fund particularly is interested in projects that focus on underserved populations and communities. 

Your projects must address youth sports and recreation through at least one of the following strategies: 

Eligibility: Nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations located in the New York State counties of Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates are eligible to apply. Your organization must serve youth in this geographic area. Government entities and school districts are eligible to apply. 

Grant Amount: This program awards between $5,000 and $25,000. However, proposals for slightly larger awards will be considered. 

Grant Period: Grants will have a one year period. 

Application Deadline: January 17, 2019
