Students in the twenty-first century have come of age during the Digital Revolution and are very comfortable spending much of their time online. For this reason, it is more important than ever for teachers and school administrators to teach the best-practices in cybersecurity for the younger generation to develop digital safety habits to carry with them throughout their lives and through new developments in technology.
The US Department of Education (USED) will host a webinar on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 1:30- 3:00 p.m. (ET) for educators to learn about cybersecurity education, how to integrate cybersecurity lessons in K-12 classrooms, accessing open-source cybersecurity learning resources, and tips to integrate cybersecurity content into existing STEM instruction. Speakers include experts from USED’s Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education, the National Institute of Standards & Technology, Louisiana Technical University, and winners of the Presidential Cybersecurity Award.
