Grant Opportunity: Public, private, and charter K-12 schools in New York State are invited to apply for Green School Grants from the New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling (NYSAR3). Since the beginning of the program in 2005, nearly 100 schools across the state have reduced their environmental impact on their local communities and benefitted financially from the implementation of programs through their grant awards. Green School Grants provide seed funding and start-up money for recycling and waste-reduction programs. Because this is a competitive program, school and district leadership are encouraged to submit proposals for initiatives that are innovative and imaginative that focus on the 3 R's: reduction, reuse, and recycling.
Eligibility: All public, private, and charter schools in New York State are eligible to apply.
Grant Amount: up to $1,000
Grant Period: 6 months – 1 year
Important Dates: Email applications to nysar3greenschoolsgrants@gmail.com by Tuesday, November 10.
