Build to Scale Program (B2S): Venture and Capital Funding Available

Opportunity: The Build to Scale Program (B2S) program from the US Economic Development Administration further technology-based economic development initiatives that accelerate high quality job growth, create more economic opportunities, and support the future of the next generation of industry leading companies.

Venture Challenge grants are awarded to intermediary organizations like accelerators, universities, community colleges, and non-profits supporting new business ventures that are scalable by nature, challenging the status quo of markets, commercializing technologies, and; furthering job creation.

Capital Challenge grants provide operational support for the formation, launch, or scale of investment funds that seek to invest their capital in scalable startups; organizations with a goal to expand capital deployment within a community, region, or regional industry.

Eligibility: A State; city or other political subdivision of a State; Indian tribe; an entity whose application is supported by a State or a political subdivision of a State and that is 1) a nonprofit organization or 2) an institution of higher education; or, a consortium of public and private organizations, science or research park, venture development organization, economic development organization or similar.

Grant Amount: Up to $1,500,000 for programs

Important Dates: Thursday, April 29: Deadline for proposal
