Creating Undergraduate Research Centers for Foreign Language and International Studies

Grant Opportunity: The U.S. Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education is now accepting applications for their National Resource Centers (NRC) Program. NRC provides funding for institutions of higher education (IHEs) to establish, strengthen, and operate undergraduate resource centers that will promote education and research in modern foreign languages, world affairs, and the international studies and international language aspects of professional and other fields of study. Projects and proposed activities should reflect diverse perspectives and develop a new generation of students ready to enter government service, education, business, and non-profit sectors in areas of national need. In addition, projects should partner with at least one minority-serving institution or community colleges. 

Eligibility: U.S. institutions of higher education or a consortium of IHEs are eligible to apply.
 
Grant Amount and Grant Period: Awards will range between $188,000 and $270,000 per year over a grant period of four years.
