We're excited to share that several of our clients located right in New York State have recently been awarded 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) grants through the U.S. Department of Education.

Through grant proposals written and reviewed by BRI, Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School, Center for Youth, Groton Central School District, Ithaca CSD, and Newburgh Enlarged School District will receive a total of $15 million over a span of five years to create community learning centers that provide academic enrichment  during outside of school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. These community learning centers will help students meet state and local standards in core academic subjects, provide extracurricular enrichment activities, and provide literacy and educational services to families.

Throughout the span of this CCLC program, BRI will also be evaluating these five local educational agencies as well as the Urban League of Rochester, Boys and Girls Club of Rochester, and Fallsburg Centeral School District.

A big congratulations again to Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School, Center for Youth, Groton Central School District, Ithaca CSD, and Newburgh Enlarged School District for this award!
