Grant opportunity: The John Templeton Foundation provides funding for projects and applied research in the following categories:

Eligibility: The foundation typically funds 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations; however, for-profit and individuals may be eligible if their charitable work aligns with the foundation's priority areas. 

Grant Amount and Grant Period: Grants generally range between $250,000 and $3,000,000. The grant period is typically for up to three years. However, in rare instances, a grant period of up to five years can be requested.
