Developing Occupational Skills in Youth Through YouthBuild Apprenticeships

Grant opportunity: The U.S. Department of Labor's YouthBuild 2025 program offers funding for organizations and units of government to provide pre-apprenticeship occupational skills training in the construction industry and regional in-demand industries to disadvantaged and low-income youth. Funded projects will also provide supportive services for enrolled youth, including job placement, transportation assistance, childcare, and housing. 

Eligibility: Eligible applicants include units of state, local, or recognized Native American tribal government, nonprofit or tribal organizations, independent school districts, and institutions of higher education. 

Grant Amount and Grant Period: Awards will range between $1 million and $2 million with a grant period of 40 months starting July 1st, 2026.
