Grant opportunity: AmeriCorps is now accepting proposals for its Fiscal Year 2026 AmeriCorps State and National Competitive Grants. This program provides funding for organizations to engage and place AmeriCorps members in evidence-based interventions that benefit communities.
AmeriCorps will prioritize proposals that:
- Serve impoverished communities
- Expand access to youth mental health or substance abuse services
- Focus on improving the quality of life for veterans, active-duty members of the Armed Forces, and their families
- Focus on public safety, crime prevention, or partnerships between law enforcement and the community
- Expand access to outdoor recreation for future generations
- Create work pathways for AmeriCorps members
- Focus on strengthening families
- Enhance and expand services for incarcerated and at-risk youth
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, units of government (including school districts), Native/ Tribal governments, and institutions of higher education.
Grant Amount and Grant Period: Award amounts will vary depending on the project scope. For a breakdown of the award amounts, please see here. The grant period is three years.
