Developing and Enhancing Compensation Systems for Educators

Grant opportunity: The U.S. Department of Education's Teacher and School Leader Incentive Program supports efforts to develop, implement, improve, or expand comprehensive performance-based compensation systems or or human capital management systems for educators with consideration to gains in student academic achievement.

Eligibility: Eligible applicants include local educational agencies or a consortia of such, state education agencies, the Bureau of Indian Education, or a partnership of an eligible applicant with a nonprofit organization. 

Grant Amount and Grant Period: Awards will range between $500,000 and $8.5 million over a 36-month grant period.
