The request for proposals for Round 9 of the NY State Education Department's 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program is expected to be released between Fall 2026 and Winter 2027. 21st CCLC is one of the largest out-of-school-time grant programs in New York State, supporting the creation of community learning centers that provide programming for students. Contingent upon the continuation of federal funding, the Round 9 competition is expected to approximately double the number of grantees, sites, and participants beginning as early as July 1, 2027.
Both our grant writing and evaluations divisions are proud to have longstanding relationships with the 21st CCLC Program. BRI achieved a 100% success rate in the previous round of proposals we helped write while also currently serving as the external evaluator for 10 programs. We also serve as a data manager for three programs. We know this grant from the inside: the evaluability process, site monitoring visits, and the AfterSchool21 platform. We have a strong working relationship with NYSED that gets our clients' questions answered.
