A partnership of the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) brings their third annual Community College Innovation Challenge (CCIC) - a contest that challenges students to propose solutions to real-world scientific challenges. Students can enter the contest in one of three areas.  "Maker to Manufacturer" asks students to explore the problems encountered by small-scale manufacturing processes.  "Energy and Environment" encourages students to plan sustainable pathways to new energy applications. "Security Technologies" examines the need for computer network systems to be secure, private, and useable. Submissions are due by February 15, 2017. More information about eligibility and prizes is available on the CCICwebsite.
