InvenTeams Applications Now Open for Student-Educator STEM Teams

Grant Opportunity: The Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams® grants are awarded annually to 15 teams. Comprised of educators, students, and mentors, these teams work together inventing technological solutions to real-world problems. InvenTeam students rely on inquiry-based and hands-on problem solving as they integrate lessons from science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curricula to develop invention prototypes.
 
Eligibility: STEM educators working in high schools or nonprofit educational organizations in the United States or U.S. territories are eligible to apply.
 
Grant Amount: Individual grants up to $10,000 will be awarded.
 
Grant Period: Grants will have a one year period with projects starting in October 2020.
 
Important Dates:
  • Initial Application Deadline: April 6, 2020
  • Finalists Announced: Mid-April 2020
  • Final Application: September 8, 2020
