We are excited to share that BRI client and partner, Deer Run Winery, was recently selected to receive a $60,000 grant from the New York State Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council (REDC). Established in 2011, this initiative aims to jump-start the economy and create jobs in New York State's Finger Lakes region by empowering communities to pursue projects specifically tailored to their strengths and resources. Deer Run Winery is one of seven grant recipients in Livingston County Region.

Deer Run Winery is the oldest operating winery on Conesus Lake. Run by George Kuyon and his son, Scott, Deer Run Winery has been producing award-winning wines using homegrown and local grapes since 2003. This grant will allow the winery to expand wine production capacity and introduce new products into the marketplace while creating new jobs in the region's wine industry.

BRI grant writing associates led efforts for this successful REDC proposal. Marie Kunyon of Deer Run Winery was also instrumental in the grant preparation process.

Congratulations to Deer Run Winery on this well-deserved award!
