Supporting Conservation Efforts Through the Conservation Grants Fund

Grant Opportunity: The Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) Conservation Grants Fund program is currently accepting applications for grants to support conservation, scientific, and education initiatives in AZA- accredited zoos and aquariums.  Of particular interest to the AZA are projects that improve management, welfare, and care of endangered and threatened wildlife in a zoological setting as well as directly connect zoo and aquarium animal collections with the conservation of endangered or threatened wildlife and ecosystems.

Grants are awarded in the following categories:

Eligibility: Principal investigators must hold an independent AZA Membership in order to be eligible to apply.

Grant Amount/ Grant Period: The average grant award is $18,000. 

Grant Deadline: March 15th, 2021.
