Grants for Increasing Access to Educational Materials Through Television Access

Grant Opportunity: The Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) is now taking applications for their Educational Technology, Media, and Materials for Individuals with Disabilities— Television Access Projects grant program. This program provides funding for projects that improve the performance of students with disabilities in the classroom through the development, demonstration, and use of television access technology such as audio description, open captioning, and closed captioning.

Eligibility: Eligible applicants include state educational agencies, local educational agencies (including public charter schools), institutions of higher education, public agencies, private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, and Indian Tribes or Tribal organizations, and for-profit organizations.

Grant Amount/ Grant Period: Awards typically range between $650,000 and $666,000 per year and the grant period is 60 months. 

Grant Deadline: April 27, 2021
