Promoting Green and Clean Energy in Schools

Grant Opportunity: The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's (NYSERDA) P-12 Schools: Green and Clean Energy Solutions program aims to reduce school energy loads and assist in the conversion to carbon free fuels by providing funding for New York State schools for the following:
In addition, Green and Clean Energy Solutions funding recipients will receive complimentary clean energy services such as Clean Heating and Cooling Technology Screenings and benchmarking.
 
Eligibility: Public and private PreK-12 schools located in New York State that pay into Systems Benefit Charge (SBC) on their electric utility bill are eligible to apply. All space within the buildings must be solely occupied by P-12 students and staff.
 
Grant Amount and Grant Period: NYSERDA will provide a cost-share of up to 75% for Energy Studies and Clean Heating and Cooling and Net Zero Design projects for a maximum of $250,000 per application. Schools designated as high-need by the New York State Department of Education here may receive up to 100% cost-sharing of eligible design costs.
