Teachers of Tomorrow Program Opens April 12th

Grant Opportunity: In response to the shortage of teachers within New York State, the New York State Education Department's (NYSED) Teachers of Tomorrow: Science, Mathematics, Bilingual Education, and English as a New Language (TOTSMBE) Tuition Reimbursement program will provide funding for low-performing school districts to recruit and retain individuals who have received or will receive a transitional certificate.
 
TOTSMBE grants are administered in three categories.
 
Eligibility: New York State school districts that are identified as experiencing a shortage of teachers in science, mathematics, bilingual education, and/or English as a new language, and have at least one low-performing school are eligible to apply. Grant Amount and Grant Period: The maximum award is $10,000 per Teachers of Tomorrow participant with a grant period of one-year.
