Grant Opportunity: The Walmart Foundation's Local Community Grant program connects applicant organizations with funding from local Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities.
Grants are awarded in the following eight categories:

Community and Economic Development grants will fund projects that improve local communities for low-income families.

Diversity and Inclusion grants fund projects that foster relationships and understanding among diverse groups in the local service area.

Education grants provide funding for afterschool enrichment, tutoring or vocational training for low-income families.

Environmental Sustainability grants provide funding for projects that aim to improve the environment in the local service area through initiatives such as preventing waste or improving recycling.

Health and Human Service grants provide funding for projects that provide social services, improve housing, or address medical screening and technology availability among low-income communities.

Public Safety grants provide funding for public safety programs such as training programs or providing equipment.

Quality of Life grants provide funding for projects that improve access to recreation, the arts, or cultural experiences for low-income communities.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, government entities, K-12 public or nonprofit private school, institutions of higher education, and faith-based organizations. Applicant organizations must directly benefit the service area of a Walmart/ Sam's Club facility from which they are requesting funding.
Grant Amount: Awards range from $500 to $2,000.
