Grants for Addressing Violence in Schools

Grant Opportunity: The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA's)  is now accepting applications for their Students Teachers and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Grant Program. This program aims to provide professionals who work with school-aged youth the skills to recognize and prevent acts of school violence. Applicants will act as a provider in order to develop resources for responding to crises and provide training and technical assistance (TTA) to school professionals.
 
Grants are administered in three categories:
 
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include institutions of higher education, units of state government, Native American tribal governments and organizations, nonprofit organizations, and for-profit organizations excluding small businesses.
 
Grant Amount and Grant Period: Training and Technical Assistance for Law Enforcement Who Work in Schools and/or with School-age Populations grants and Training and Technical Assistance to Improve Responses to Students in Crisis grants award $2,000,000 over a 24 month grant period. CVI grants award $1,000,000 over a 24 month period.
