Grant Opportunity: Research has increasingly found that middle school plays a large role in determining students' long-term academic trajectories. The Afterschool Alliance's Aim High Grant Program aims to support youth in disadvantaged communities during the transition between middle and high school by providing support for enriching community-based out-of-school time (OST) programs that help students develop cognitively, socially, and emotionally.

Grants are available in the following categories:

Eligibility: Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that serve a high percentage of low-income middle school students are eligible to apply.

Grant Amount and Grant Period: Grants are available in one or two-year programs. The median amount for one-year grants is $15,000. The median amount for two-year grants is $50,000 for organizations that serve 41-99 youths during the school year. The median amount for two-year grants is $100,000 for organizations that serve more than 100 youths during the school year.
