Funding for Promoting Ecosystem Health

Grant Opportunity: The Bureau of Land Management Eastern States Invasive and Noxious Plant Management Program provides funding for partnerships aimed at decreasing invasive weed populations on public lands. Projects funded should aim to promote ecosystem health by 1.) preventing, detecting, and eradicating invasive plant species, 2.) developing outreach materials to engage the public in the detection and prevention of noxious weeds and invasive plant species, and 3.) developing methods or models to increase the detection and mapping of such species.
 
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include units of state or local government, independent school districts, institutions of higher education, units of Native American tribal government, Native American organizations, or nonprofit organizations.
 
Grant Amount and Grant Period: Awards will range between $30,000 to $150,000 with a grant period of 60 months.
