Grant Opportunity: Research has increasingly found that middle school plays a large role in determining students' long-term academic trajectories. The Afterschool Alliance's Aim High Grant Program is once again accepting proposals. This grant aims to support youth in disadvantaged communities during the transition between middle and high school by providing support for enriching community-based out-of-school time (OST) programs that help students develop cognitively, socially, and emotionally.

Grants are available in the following categories:

Eligibility: Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that serve a high percentage of low-income middle school students are eligible to apply. For those looking to apply for two-year grants, operating budgets must equal $250,000 or more.

Grant Amount and Grant Period: One-year awards will total $15,000. Two-year grants will be awarded in two tiers- $25,000 per year over the span of two years for a total award of $50,000 or $50,000 per year over the span of two years for a total award of $100,000- depending on the operating budget of the applicant organization.
