Grant Opportunity: In order to address the lingering social-emotional impact of the COVID-19 pandemic among youth, promote academic and personal enrichment opportunities in students, and expand community and family engagement, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) is now accepting proposals for their New York State Learning and Enrichment After-School Program Supports (LEAPS) program. LEAPS provides funding for the development and continuation of afterschool programs by nonprofit organizations in partnership with schools and/or school districts.
Eligibility: New York State nonprofit community-based organizations are eligible to apply in partnership with local schools or school districts.
Grant Amount and Grant Period: The maximum award for this grant is $2.2 million annually over the five-year grant period. Award amounts will be determined by registered or proposed school-age child care (SCACC) capacity at sites identified in the proposal as per the chart here.
