Promoting Food Scrap Recycling in New York State

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC)’s Municipal Food Scraps Recycling Grant provides funding for New York State nonprofits to create or expand programs or facilities that increase residential food scrap recycling.

Eligibility: 501(c)(3) nonprofits that provide emergency food relief- excluding New York State Food Banks- in New York State are eligible to apply.

Grant Amount and Grant Period: Awards will range between $1,000 to $200,000 with a grant period of three years.
