Kelley Madden, along with BRI’s Twin Cities-based evaluators, Caitlin Cich and Terra Wiens, recently attended the 2025 High Impact Technology Exchange (Hi-TEC) Conference in Minneapolis, MN. Supported by the NSF’s Advanced Technological Education (NSF ATE) program, HI-TEC is a national conference that focuses on technician preparation to meet workforce demands in science and engineering fields.

Kelley gave a presentation entitled "Overcoming Negative Attitudes towards Technology," drawing on insights from the evaluation of an electric vehicle technician program led by Emma O’Connor. The presentation was part of a session organized by EvaluATE, the ATE Center for Evaluation, for ATE evaluators.

BRI evaluates four NSF ATE projects under the leadership of Assistant Director of Evaluations, Emma O’Connor. BRI’s current ATE evaluators are Marilyn Klotz, Deborah Leh, and Terra Wiens.
