Jaime Escalante of Stand and Deliver fame now has a stamp with his likeness available through the United States Post Office. Escalante used innovative teaching methods in his East Los Angeles math classroom in the 1970s through the early 1990s. His students had previously been labeled as "unteachable," but he demonstrated the importance of math and education to all students that crossed his path.
