We are pleased to announce that the
Genesee Valley Educational Partnership (GVEP) was just awarded two Health Workforce Retraining Program/Initiative Grants from the New York State Department of Health.
The Genesee Valley Educational Partnership will use the funds to support the Rochester Area and Western New York. They plan to use the grant funding to train entry-level health care workers for higher-skilled and higher paying jobs. Their plans also include making emergency grant funds available to LPN students experiencing financial hardship and to make updates to their training facilities in order to maximize student learning with emerging medical technologies. The GVEP will be helping to alleviate the health care worker shortage being felt all across New York State.
Brockport Research Institute was proud to assist the GVEP with their grant application and will be providing professional development as a part of their grant program. Congratulations!
