Grant Opportunity: Title II, Part B of the Elementary, and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) legislation authorizes The Mathematics and Science Partnerships (MSP) competitive grant program. The overarching purpose of this grant is to increase the academic achievement of students in mathematics and science through partnerships that enhance teaching of elementary and secondary teachers (PK-12).
Partnerships between high-need school districts and the science, technology, engineering and mathematics departments in Institutions of Higher Education are at the core of an innovative comprehensive systems approach to enhance teaching and learning.
Eligibility: Districts and Charter Schools with Poverty at least 50 percent (2016-2017) List of Eligible Applicants
Funding Available: $250,000- $2,000,000 depending on District Student Enrollment
- 19,999 and below: $250,000
- 20,000-49,999: $500,000
- 50,000 and above: $2,000,000
Important Dates:
- All questions must be submitted via E-Mail to EMSCMSP@nysed.gov by March 5, 2018.
- Q&A will be posted no later than March 23, 2018.
- Due Date: April 6, 2018
- Project period: September 1, 2018-September 30, 2019
