Grant Opportunity: The Impact Capacity Assessment Program (iCAP) from the Western New York Foundation is a competitive program for local nonprofit organizations to "engage in a process to assess its capacity needs in coordination with an organizational development consultant" to build long-term capacity management. Organization staff will work with the foundation to assess key capacity elements and identify strategic opportunities for growth.
When nonprofit organizations have a clear understanding of their current capacity, they will have the tools they need to develop and implement plans that build upon their unique strengths and address the challenges of the communities they serve. iCAP awards help nonprofits build resiliency and adaptability in a rapidly changing funding environment.
Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS that are located in the Western New York area (Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautaqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, and Wyoming counties) are eligible to apply. Priority is given to organizations with annual budgets between $250,000 - $6,000,000. Applicants must provide three years of 990 filings for submission; postcard filings are not accepted.
Grant Period: 1 year
Important Dates: iCap applications are accepted throughout the year.
