PreK-12 Funding Available from the McCarthey Dressman Foundation

Grant Opportunity: The McCarthey Dressman Foundation supports building educational opportunities for children in grades PreK-12. The foundation's Academic Enrichment Grants are designed for the development of in-class and extra-curricular programs that improve student learning. The foundation is interested in proposals that nurture the intellectual, artistic and creative abilities of children from low-income households.

Proposals can include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • classroom projects that supplement regular curriculum or after-school study
  • student ideas for enrichment activities that strengthen their academic experiences
  • projects that require facility equipment/ materials, time, and/or transportation

Eligibility: Applications will be accepted by individual educators working for nonprofit organizations (e.g., libraries, community centers, museums) or employed by a school district and who work directly with PreK-12 students. Priority will be given to educators working with low-income students.

*The foundation understands that projects may include multiple participants and organizations. However, applications must be submitted under the name of a single individual.

Grant Amount: $10,000 per year for a maximum of three (3) years for a total of $30,000

Important Dates: The application window lasts January 15 – April 15, 2021 or when the foundation receives 350 total applications.
