Grant Opportunity: The Society of American Archivists (SAA) Foundation is offering funding through individual grants for archivists and librarians across the country.
SAA will provide funding for programs that align with their current strategic goals:
- GOAL 1: Advocating for the value of archives and archivists
- GOAL 2: Enhance professional growth by increasing access to the resources that archivists need
- GOAL 3: Advancing the field by developing new standards/guidelines/ best-practices
Applicants should submit proposals that include expected objectives and outcomes, assessment criteria, and project benchmarks. Projects can include the following activities: persuading influential external organizations to create new archive project or support existing archiving projects, projects enhancing the performance of repositories, and research/ reporting about the profession (its practice and practitioners).
Eligibility: Practicing archivists, SAA component groups, other organizations of archivists, and allied professionals are encouraged to apply.
Grant Amount: grants range $500 - $5,000
