We are so pleased to congratulate Freedom Guide Dogs for the Blind for their multiple grant awards in the 2020-2021 winter season including:
- $75,000 from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation
- $30,000 from the Sarah de Coizart Article TENTH Perpetual Trust
- $216,000 from the Lavelle Fund for the Blind
Freedom is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Cassville, New York that breeds, raises, and trains guide dogs for blind and visually-impaired clients throughout the eastern United States. Dogs are placed with clients and receive personalized, individual training through their distinctive at-home training model, Hometown Training™. This at-home model is in high-demand for visually-impaired clients with additional disabilities including intellectual/ developmental disorders, deafness, amputations, spinal injuries, seizure disorders, and cerebral palsy.
Freedom has been working with BRI since 2018 and we wish them continued success this year!
