We are excited to announce that Brockport Research Institute (BRI) is the recipient of the 2021 ATHENA Organizational Award. Presented by the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and the Women's Council, the ATHENA International Awards honors individuals and organizations that help build the next generation of women leaders and improve the quality of life for others in the community. The program's Organizational Award is given to organizations and businesses that create a workplace culture where women can reach their maximum leadership potential and work to support the community of women locally or globally.
The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and Women's Council praised BRI's commitment to mentorship and increasing professional opportunities for women, particularly for those experiencing career disruption. The judges also commended BRI's corporate culture of "positive, supportive development" which develops a "pipeline of talented professional women ready to help others on their professional journey."
“We are honored to receive this year’s ATHENA Organizational Award and are proud of the hard work and dedication our associates and staff bring to each project,” says Brockport Research Institute President and CEO Sara Silverstone. “Flexible work that utilizes and advances professional skills is more important than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic. This achievement reiterates our mission of providing mentorship, supporting our community, and creating a pipeline of women leaders.”
Brockport Research Institute is honored to have been nominated alongside local organizations such as AutismUP, Helene & Gertrude, and The Center for Youth. We would like to congratulate our fellow 2021 ATHENA Organizational Award finalists. Thank you for all the work that you do!
Finally, we would like to extend our gratitude to our hard-working associates and the Rochester community for their support. We could not do this without you.
