Dr. Ann Marie Wernick is an educator and researcher with over seven years of experience in teacher education research and grant writing. Her work spans K-12 classrooms, higher education, and non-profit sectors in Texas and Ohio, encompassing research, grant writing, and program evaluation. Dr. Wernick has authored grants for the NSF S-STEM program, NSF AISL program, and the US Department of Education TRIO Student Support Services grant program. Her research primarily centers on understanding and supporting teacher learning in literacy instruction. She designs collaborative learning spaces where educators can actively engage in literacy skills, receive feedback, and collectively build knowledge. Her work aims to enhance educational opportunities and support for students across various academic levels while advancing teacher preparation in literacy education.
