Christian Solorio is an experienced STEM education researcher and program evaluator
specializing in STEM pedagogy and academic support. He earned a BA in Physics at
Kenyon College (2018) where he did computational cosmology research. He earned his
Ph.D. in Physics from Oregon State University (2023) doing physics education research
that investigated students’ understanding of quantum mechanics through qualitative
methods. In his postdoc, he researched professional development of STEM instructors
starting education research and supported the Professional Development for Education
Researchers (PEER) program. At BRI, he has evaluated NSF Noyce and ITYC grants,
NYSED early college high school programs, and HRSA BHWET grants.
