Emma O’Connor

Assistant Director of Evaluations
Education: Ph.D. Applied Psychology, Portland State University; M.A. Experimental Psychology, Western Carolina University; B.A. Psychology, Buffalo State College.
Emma O’Connor is the Assistant Director of Evaluations at BRI. She has extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods to evaluate and investigate social issues related to interpersonal violence, homelessness, and substance use disorders. Prior to joining BRI, Emma served as a project manager for the 2022 Multnomah County Point-in-Time count and completed a dissertation investigating the role that masculinity ideologies hold in the perpetration of domestic violence. She is primarily interested in evaluating the effectiveness of programs related to social issues ranging from violence perpetration to creating equitable access to STEM education.
