Dr. Jie Zhang is a Professor of Special Education at State University of New York (SUNY) Brockport. Her research focuses on the efficacy of interventions for children with disabilities; services for children with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and their families. She received SUNY Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, Open SUNY Online Teaching Ambassador Award, the Outstanding Academic Advising Award, and the Inaugural Outstanding Global Engagement Award. Dr. Zhang serves as the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Program Reviewer/Lead Reviewer at the national level. As a Professional Learning Associate at BRI, she utilizes her subject matter expertise and strong presentation skills to provide customized Continuing Teacher and Leader Education on a wide range of topics.
