Kathy Hoppe is an NYS Certified School District Administrator and secondary Science and Biology teacher. She was awarded the Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship and served as a fellow at the National Science Foundation in the Directorate of Engineering. Following her fellowship, Kathy was an Education Associate with the US Patent and Trademark Office, working as an Education Associate in outreach, teaching invention and intellectual property education. She was a Science/STEM Instructional Specialist for Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES and Science teacher for 30 years and has had extensive experience in Case- and Project-Based Learning. She has been trained as a facilitator and coach through the Buck Institute, Illinois Math and Science Academy and has been a presenter for the National Center for Case-Based Teaching in Science, STANYS, NSTA, NABT and the Flipped Learning Network as well as many school districts across the nation.
