Pamela Beach is a Professor of Kinesiology at The College at Brockport, SUNY, where she is the Associate Director of the Honors College and Coordinator of the Summer Undergraduate Research Program. Recently she earned the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and the Roland Fontaine Award for student engagement. Pam is the author of the widely circulated textbook Motor Learning and Motor Development (1st & 2nd editions), and co-founded and co-directs the Institute of Movement Studies for Individuals with Visual Impairment (IMSVI). She regularly publishes her research on individuals with sensory impairments in peer reviewed journals and presents her work internationally. Pam has served as Chair of NASPE Motor Development & Learning Academy and as a board member of the American Kinesiology Association. Her work for BRI includes grant proposals and evaluations for multiple NSF Noyce programs and NYSED Math Science Partnership programs.
