Patience Williams is an analyst, educator, and researcher who engages tactile and sensory tools to explore diverse approaches to system design and citizenship in a multicultural society. Her work examines the role of culture and space in systems of social infrastructure. She has extensive experience in the arenas of community engagement and outreach, qualitative and quantitative data collection, and culturally responsive curriculum writing. In a consulting capacity, she has teamed with public, non-profit, and private agencies across New York City to provide child welfare, juvenile justice and human services to improve outcomes for families in the family welfare system. At BRI, Patience serves as an evaluator for the NSF S-STEM and the NYSED 21st Century Community Learning Center programs.
