Roberta Benedict completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in the area of energy storage devices at SUNY Stony Brook, funded by the US Intelligence Community. She has over 10 years of research experience in nanotechnology, printed electronics, energy storage, and energy harvesting devices, and has published numerous related peer-reviewed journal articles and holds three patents. Roberta is an adjunct faculty member in the Chemical Engineering department at the Rochester Institute of Technology. She has also co-written NSF STTR and SBIR grants as a senior researcher for Cellec Technologies. Since joining BRI, she has worked on multiple NSF grants as a writer, coach, and reviewer, and as an evaluator for NYSED Math & Science Partnership, 21st Century Community Learning Center, and NSF S-STEM grant programs.
