Sara Silverstone is President and CEO Brockport Research Institute. She has led over 60 external evaluations and written over $50M dollars in grants to NSF including S-STEM, Noyce Program, IUSE, SBIR, MRI, CAREER, and ADVANCE, as well as to USED, EPA, USDA, and numerous state and private foundation grants. Before founding BRI, Dr. Silverstone served on the biology faculty of California State University, Bakersfield, and SUNY College at Brockport. She also served as Director of the Rochester Area Colleges' Center for Excellence in Math and Science and founded the Finger Lakes STEM Hub where she served as Director until 2016. She holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from UC Davis.
