Utilizing New Innovations to Advance Health Equity for All

Grant opportunity: With a mission of dismantling the structural racism and social systems that uphold inequality, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's (RWJF) Exploring Equitable Futures program supports projects that seed new and unconventional ideas that could advance health equity. Projects funded by the foundation include those exploring emerging social, cultural,
scientific, technological, environmental, and economic trends and forces that could shape the future of health, and those that explore new ideas and innovations that help tear down barriers to health while reimaging systems. 

Eligibility: Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations based in the United States or U.S. territories are eligible to apply. 

Grant Amount and Grant Period: While there is no standard award size or period, typical Exploring Equitable Futures grants range between $250,000 and $500,000 with a grant period of one to three years. 

Application Deadline: October 15, 2025
